The Beatles 60th Anniversary Tribute Show –60 years, 60 songs! It was 60 years ago this year that The Beatles released their first album Please Please Me. To celebrate that moment in music history WMNF is putting on a Tribute to the Beatles. The Beatles recorded over 200 songs – you’ll hear 30% of them at WMNF’s tribute to the Beatles at Skipper’s Smokehouse Saturday March 25th starting at 6pm going to 11:30. 17 bands will do their renditions of The Beatles—about 3 songs per band for over 5 hours of music. Everyone loves the Beatles—you’ll hear Beatles performed in a variety of genres: folk, Blues, Jazz, rockabilly, punk rock, classic rock, bluegrass, Latin, southern rock, ukulele, psychedelic rock, singer songwriters, metal, reggae indi-rock, and more. “We’ve done Beatles’ tribute shows before and we always pack the house, but this could be our biggest and most diverse” Flee WMNF Music director.
