Sound Healing Fundamentals of Percussion
Significantly improve your sound healing knowledge with a fundamentals class dedicated to percussion instruments. Unlike the singing bowls, percussion brings you into a different world of rhythmic trance. Use the sounds of percussive instruments to induce deep and profound healing while experiencing a parallel healing session for yourself.
Sound Healing Fundamentals is a series of ongoing classes designed to expand your overall understanding of how sound healing works on the body, mind, and soul. Get into some of the science of how it works with attention to the nuances of physiological changes that occur.
Once you have explored the different percussion instruments, then you can go even deeper into utilizing specific elements to aid in your healing session. Besides creating your own soundscapes, you will practice self healing following each section of learning.
In order to provide a basic overview, percussion class focuses on instruments such as drums, rain sticks, rattles, chimes, and utilizing other instruments in percussive forms. During class, students will play a variety of instruments (feel free to bring your own) in the hope that they will feel comfortable with whatever they currently have or are wanting to add to their practice.
For specific instruments, a private class may be set up at any time.
Sound Healing Fundamentals for Percussion will give you different rhythmic exercises, creative ways to produce sounds, and a structure for setting up your own soundscape. Even if you only play for yourself, these fundamentals will undoubtedly strengthen your ability to use sound within your healing practice.
In addition, if you’re already holding group or private sessions, you will nevertheless improve your skills and ability to create a cohesive soundscape.
Sound Healing Fundamentals for Percussion will be held on Sunday, July 14th from 11am - 4pm. The investment is $250 and comes with a certificate of completion.
Class is held in The Sacred Cocoon at The Red Barn in Durham, CT.
