The set’s creative design was inspired by the popular children’s book The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition, a cherished holiday children’s book co-written by Carol Aebersold and her daughter Chanda Bell and illustrated by Coë Steinwart. Each Santa encounter will begin with a walk through this imaginative set, which combines the best elements of today’s highly popular “selfie museums” with the grandeur of a theme park attraction.
