The Ruckus Revival: Summer of Sin!
Join us for our big “Summer of Sin” celebration at The Ruckus Revival! Ruckus is the biggest renegade variety show in the Bay Area, and the Huffington Post calls us "one of the best underground performance art shows in America!" The Ruckus Revival is a legendary underground showcase packed with uncensored circus, raucous stand-up comedy, sizzling burlesque, stunning pole performance, freestyle rap battles and hip hop lyricism, aerial performances, beat-boxing, slam poetry, jaw-dropping sideshow, dirty haiku bouts and audience-interactive mayhem in a fast paced night of unfiltered entertainment!
This July we turn up the heat with our scorching “Summer of Sin” starring circus superstars and stunning Guiness World record holders, the subversive stand up of Comedy Central’s fan favorite Kate Willett, steamy pole performances by the queens of Flux Vertical Theatre, dominatrix infused aerial acts, heavy metal infused tap-dancing, fiery hula hoops and more!
The winner of multiple "Best of the Bay" awards, and called "consistently the most spectacular event that Oakland's ever seen" by the East Bay Express, the SF Chronicle calls Ruckus "a dazzling, inspiring and celebratory display of talent" and "a tent revival for misfits and freaks, those whose artistry or spectatorship has a homespun bent and a bandit streak."
