Expanding and Strengthening Our Local Food Economy
An inspiring evening of festivity and fundraising will unfold during the Member Appreciation Dinner at Willow Haven Farm on June 29th at 5:30 PM. This event is far more than an exceptional Farm-To-Table Dinner experience; it is a pivotal moment to bring Willow Haven Farm General Store to life, empowering our community and nourishing families who depend on this vital food supply now and in the future.
Bringing unparalleled credibility and passion to our cause, we are honored to feature Dr. Carmina Chapp as our keynote speaker. Dr. Chapp is a theologian and founder of the Dorothy Day Catholic Worker Farm in Harvey’s Lake, PA. Inspired by the Catholic Worker’s origins around a kitchen table, Carmina often hosts gatherings of local scholars to discuss current topics of interest, aiming to clarify ideas and put them into action.
Her insights on local agriculture and independent, family-owned businesses are invaluable. Over a decade of sustainable farming experience paired with a deep background in Catholic education drives her commitment to providing access to clean and healthy food for families at all levels of society. When Dr. Chapp explains the deeper levels of what our local food choices mean for our lives and our future in society, it’s going to blow minds and open hearts.
Willow Haven Farm members and their guests will enjoy a fun and inspiring night of delectable farm-to-table dining, enlightening conversations, and meaningful connections with fellow supporters and passionate advocates of sustainable farming.
