Designed in 1911 by legendary architect Horace Trumbauer, the YMCA building at 1421 Arch Street is in the process of a significant restoration as the city's next luxe hotel. The 4-star Le Meriden Hotel will incorporate an interior that merges the historic with the modern and will offer 195 rooms on five floors, a bar, restaurant and lounge on the lobby level as well a grand ballroom and a central atrium courtyard on the 5th floor of the building, boasting a skylight at the crown of its 75 foot ceiling and a giant sculpture.
